Next month, from April 20 to 22 will take place The fifth China International Technology Fair in Shanghai where will be presented informative and biological technologies from over 20 countries. The aim of Fair is promotion of advanced technologies and commercialize research results.
Deputy director of the Shanghai International Technology Exchange Center, one of the fair organizers, said that significant role in fundraising was played by government, which organized private and state-owned investment companies for financial support for exhibitors.
This Technology Fair could be an important step to turn Shanghai into a global tech and innovation center, what is planned by local politics. As said Shanghai Committee members during the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference, “Shanghai should put more efforts into supporting startups and talents as well as improving management of intellectual property rights to create own top Internet company,” like Baidu in Beijing, Alibaba in Hangzhou and Tencent in Shenzhen”.
Shanghai has already built national technology park – Zhangjiang High-Tech Park and keep attracting overseas talents and engineers by offering subsidies.
